CPI (M) to Launch Agitations on Local Issues

Port Blair, Nov 09: The meeting of the CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organizing Committee held at Port Blair recently has decided to  conduct agitations on various burning issues of the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands like (i) intermittent power cut (ii)  Failure of Government of India to complete the ATR/NH 4 work  (iii) to fill up vacant posts numbering about 10,000 under A & N Administration (iv) failure of BJP government to provide job to local youths (v) failure of BJP government  to set up  any industries in these islands (v) price rise (vi) on unhygienic condition of  Port Blair town  (vi) shortage of  sufficient vessels for inter-island and mainland-island services,  (vii) on unchecked corruption, (viii) increasing attack  on women in the islands, etc.  

The CPI (M) meeting has asked its Party committees at various levels to chalk out suitable imitational programmes according to the local conditions by involving the general public.
