Port Blair, Sept 25: As part of the All India Campaign by the CPI (M) on “the Increasing Assaults of the BJP central government on people’s livelihood”, the Diglipur Area Committee of the CPI (M) has conducted a mass demonstration in front of the office of Assistant Commissioner, Mayabunder today (23.09.2022) evening. Party leaders and workers from different parts of Diglipur participated in the programme. The demands raised in the mass demonstration were (1) withdraw GST on food articles (2) restore subsidy on gas cylinders (3) Abolish Central government cess/surcharge on petroleum products (4) Fill up all the vacant posts in various government departments, etc.
Mr. AVA Samad, Secretary, Diglipur Area Committee of the CPI(M), Mr.DilipKarmakar, SmtSaraniTopno and Mr. Sunil Bepari State Committee Members of the party led the mass demonstration. Mr. D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee, who is currently on a tour of North Andaman and Dr GaurangaMajhi, State Secretariat Member also attended the programme.
