Port Blair, Sep 21: Mr. D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI(M) A&N requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands for the Age relaxation for local candidates in the posts of JE in APWD.
In a letter, he mentioned that no action has been taken yet on the age relaxation matter to the prior request by the CPI(M) as only a few days are left for the last date for submission of online applications.
He stated that the Administration has advertised the posts of Junior Engineers in APWD for several years, owing to various administrative reasons followed by Covid 19 pandemic. He further stated that if these qualified candidates do not get a chance to compete for the posts of Junior Engineers advertised by the APWD now, they may not be able to get any government job.
Therefore, Mr. D. Ayyappan once again requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to be gracious enough to allow a 05 year of upper age relaxation for the Group B (Non-Gazetted) posts of Junior Engineers advertised by the APWD to enable the entire qualified local candidates to compete for the posts of Junior Engineer.
