Port Blair, Sep 16: Botanical Survey of India, Andaman & Nicobar Regional Centre celebrated World Ozone Day-2022 on 16th September 2022 to spread awareness among people about the depletion of the Ozone. The theme of the day was “Montreal Protocol@35: global cooperation protecting life on earth”.
On this occasion, a drawing competition for school students was organized. More than 200 school students in six categories: Junior: Category I (Nursery – KG), Category II (Class 1-2), Category III (Class 3-4); Senior: Category I (Class 5-7), Category II (Class 8 – 10) and Category III (Class 11-12) participated in the drawing competition.
Regional Head and Joint Director, Dr. Lal Ji Singh emphasized the significance of celebrating World Ozone Day and how to protect it by discarding some of the daily used items.
