Port Blair, Aug 21: On the occasion of UrjaDiwas, Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee, Department of Science and Technology, A&N Administration conducted an awareness programme on 20th August 2022 by screening documentaries and short films to school students of Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Port Blair and GSS Dollygunj to create awareness of the use of renewable energy.
Emphasis was given by disseminating the message to school students on the use of renewable sources of energy for a better future and its larger benefits on the environment and mankind. The harmful effects of fossil fuel and its limitation were also explained concisely through the short film/documentary.
