A&N Bhojpuri Samaaj organizes Coastal Cleaning Drive

Port Blair, Jul 07:  A Coastal Cleaning Drive was organized by Andaman and Nicobar Bhojpuri Samaaj in association with the committee members and various NGOs, GIZ, PBMC, ANPCC on 03rd July 2022 at Marina Beach, Aberdeen Jetty to mark the beginning of the cleaning campaign in A&N Islands with rest of the nation.

            People from various political parties in their individual capacities, members of various institutions and the general public participated in this drive. A skit was also presented by PBMC on environmental awareness.

            The committee will be organizing many such events till the culmination of the campaign on 17th September 2022 i.e., on the International Coastal Clean-up Day and beyond.

            The committee appealed to all the Islanders to join the campaign and informed that to join the campaign at the national level, an Eco-Mitram App can be downloaded where every member can register in his individual capacity and will also receive a certificate generated immediately.

            The committee urged to attempt to get the name of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the Guinness Book of World Records by making the longest human chain around all the beaches and coastline engaged in cleaning our life supporting sea on 17th September 2022.
